No crowds. No noise. Just soft sand, crystal clear water, and a stretch of creek that feels like it was meant just for you.
Set up for the day or stay until the light fades—swim, lounge, or do absolutely nothing at all. This is where summer slows down, where conversations last longer, and where the simplest moments somehow feel like the best ones.
We first walked this stretch of creek not long after finding the property—and it was the moment everything clicked. We knew this was the kind of place you don’t just visit, you build around.
Today, it’s yours to enjoy. A private, ever-changing landscape shaped by the water, the seasons, and how you choose to spend your time in it.
We keep a tandem kayak ready for you, along with tubes for drifting the creek. And if you want to venture further, a local outfitter just downriver makes it easy to spend the whole day on the water and end up right back here.
The water stays cool and clear, even in the height of summer—shallow enough to wade, deep enough to float, and always moving just enough to keep everything fresh. It’s the kind of place where hours pass without notice, where a quick dip turns into an entire afternoon.
Mornings start here—coffee brewed your way, sunlight pouring through the trees, and nowhere to rush off to. Evenings settle in slowly, with a bottle open, something good on the record player, and dinner unfolding at its own pace.
The kitchen at The Fleetwood isn’t just functional—it’s part of the experience. Thoughtfully designed, fully equipped, and meant to be lived in. It’s where conversations linger, meals stretch a little longer, and the simple things are done exceptionally well.
When we designed the cabin, this space was always at the center of it. Amanda brings an eye for detail and intention; Rob brings a love for systems and flow. Together, it became a place that feels both elevated and easy.
You’ll start to notice the details the longer you’re here. Real books you’ll actually want to pick up. Games, crafts, and puzzles for slow afternoons. Binoculars by the window for our bird-watching obsession—because once you start paying attention out here, it’s hard to stop.
Nothing feels forced or overly styled. Just a collection of things we love, meant to be used, shared, and enjoyed.

Tucked beneath the trees, this is where the day winds down and the good part begins. A crackling fire, a glass in hand, vinyl playing somewhere in the background, and nowhere else you need to be.
The fire pulls you in before you even realize it. Chairs get claimed. Drinks get poured. Someone inevitably says, “we should do this more often.”
Time softens out here. No rushing, no next stop—just the quiet rhythm of the night settling in around you.
And if you’re here at just the right time, the woods put on their own show.
Fireflies begin to flicker at the edges, then all at once—syncing, pulsing, lighting up the trees like something out of a dream.
It doesn’t last long. Just a few weeks each year. But when it happens, it’s the kind of moment you don’t forget.
These are the nights we come here for—and the ones we hope you’ll take with you when you leave.
As the fire burns low, the night settles in a little deeper. The air cools, the woods get quieter, and the sky opens up in a way you don’t see in the city. It’s the kind of darkness that feels full, not empty. Perfect for gazing at the stars.
Outside is where it really opens up. Private trails wind throughout the property, cutting through the pines and hardwoods, opening up to quiet corners you might not find twice.
This land was raw when we first found it. Building here meant walking it, shaping it, and slowly learning where everything wanted to be. The trails followed naturally—paths we walked first, and then made permanent.
Now they’re yours to explore.
Slow walks with your morning coffee. Dogs running ahead. A picnic tucked into the woods. No map needed, no destination required.
Along the way, keep an eye out—tucked into stumps and nestled at the base of trees, you’ll find a scattering of tiny fairy houses. A little bit of whimsy, inspired by Finn, who reminds us daily that a little imagination makes everything better.
And if you feel like taking it a step further, you can.
Pitch a tent.
Claim your own spot under the trees.
Fall asleep to the sound of the creek and wake up with the light.
It’s a different way to experience the same place—closer, quieter, and entirely your own.
Or don’t.
Stay in the cabin. Keep things easy.
A simple, beautiful life...with a dash of whimsy.
